Program Aim
Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching will be workplace and future orientated, as such will have the demonstrated capacity to enhance workplace capability and a clear focus on designing pedagogical strategies to achieve learning. Graduates will have knowledge and skills in the use of Dimensions of Learning Instructional Framework. The specific professional standards that graduates will demonstrate by direct, indirect and supplementary evidence is derived from the Queensland College of Teachers Professional Standards for Graduates document and CQU's existing innovative BLM program.
Students will be required to complete extensive professional experience which will consist of professional attachment in learning sites followed by a six week Internship.
The professional attachment consists of three days per week over school terms 2 and 3, and the Internship is completed over the first six weeks of school’s term 4 for five days per week.
