About Mine Technology

Queensland’s world class resources industry exports coal and base metals to the global market.  The design, planning and operations of mines and mineral and coal processing plants relies on a team of engineers and technologists.  The services of this group ensure the community is supplied with the raw materials and energy on which modern society is based.

Queensland is also a centre for mining and mineral processing research.  The emerging technologies that are developed in the local mines are the basis for a global mining technical services industry.
