CT02 - Tertiary Entry Program
Program Aim
The Tertiary Entry Program (TEP) is offered by Nulloo Yumbah, CQU's Indigenous Learning, Spirituality and Research Centre.
TEP is the ideal program to prepare you for tertiary study because it aims to help you to develop the skills and confidence you need to successfully complete an undergraduate program.
Although you must take responsibility for your own learning, the staff help and supports you. Throughout the program you participate in learning experiences which are personally and culturally affirming; we value the skills and knowledge you bring when you come to study. These skills and experiences are a very valuable aspect of the adult learning process.
We present the program in a way that affirms Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity and culture.

Program Structure
The full program takes two terms to complete and there is a part-time option. In the first term you will concentrate on developing self-confidence and identity in an educational environment as well as your communication and computing skills.
At the same time we encourage you to adopt an analytical perspective through critical thinking and reflection.
You must study Culture and Learning, Independent Learning, two computer courses and Academic Communication. You will then choose electives of mathematics, science or writing courses in Term 1.
In the second term, while continuing to develop academic literacy skills, communication and computing, you can choose to study politics, writing, mathematics, law or science courses.
