Program Aim
This degree aims to produce high quality graduates, possessing advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in selected areas of biochemical, biological, veterinary, para-medical, and related sciences.
Career optionsBiochemist, research laboratory worker, medical pathology and general laboratory technician or scientist, postgraduate study in various allied health disciplines such as dietetics, medical imaging and audiology, some graduates progress to medicine through GAMSAT.
Program Structure
To be eligible for this award, students must complete a total of 24 courses (144 units of credit), comprised of:
- 6 compulsory foundation courses;
- 12 compulsory advanced courses; and
- 6 elective courses.
The following schedule is designed for full-time students who usually enrol in four courses (24 units of credit) per term. The normal schedule for part-time students is two courses (12 units of credit) per term. External (part-time) students note that advanced level courses are only offered in alternate years.
