CU71 - Advanced Diploma of Journalism

Program Aim

The Advanced Diploma of Journalism provides a concentrated program of study in modern journalism practice combined with skills and knowledge relevant to new communication technology and the internet. There is some flexibility, allowing students to tailor their study in accordance with individual needs and interests.

The program provides an understanding of the social, political and cultural significance of the internet as well as practical skills in internet research and journalism. Graduates will be prepared to adapt to the evolving interactive environment of internet communication.

Graduates of the Advanced Diploma will be eligible to proceed to the Bachelor of E-Journalism degree.

Program Structure
To obtain an Advanced Diploma of Journalism, a student must complete a total of eight courses as follows:
  • 2 introductory courses
  • 6 courses (from a choice of 11)
