CA80 - Associate Degree of Business

Program Aim

The Associate Degree program is designed for students whose career aspirations may be best served by undertaking a broadly-based business program rather that a discipline specific professional program. Rather than specialise in one specific field of business operations, students are given the opportunity to undertake studies across a range of business and other related disciplines. This approach may suit students who believe that they will be better served in their careers by acquiring an understanding of a wide range of business areas and operations, rather than specialising in a single business area or function.

The program provides a flexible career pathway, offering a diverse range of courses which gives students the opportunity to obtain broad-based skills in a business environment. It will equip students with a sound skills base regarding business operations within Australia and internationally.

This program articulates into a Bachelor of Business degree with advanced standing of 96 units of credit.

Program Structure
To satisfy the requirements for the Associate Degree of Business, all students must complete a program of 16 courses which consists of:
  • 2 compulsory communication courses
  • 7 core Level 1 Faculty of Business and Law courses
  • 1 six course specialisation plan
  • 1 elective course
