About Research Higher Degrees

A research higher degree is a program of supervised research and study leading to the preparation of a thesis. The holder of a research higher degree will have submitted a thesis which examiners have declared to have provided a contribution to knowledge and demonstrated the candidate's capacity to carry out independent research.

It is the objective of the Faculty of Informatics and Communication to attract high calibre graduates who will contribute to research and scholarship particularly in those fields designated as key research directions of the Faculty and in the University's Research and Research Training Management Plan.
