Clinical Practice

This program is designed to meet the growing needs of registered nurses, practicing midwives and midwives returning to practice who wish to develop their knowledge and expertise in speciality areas of practice. The program uses a partnership model of graduate clinical education where the theoretical aspects offered through the university are integrated and assessed in the context of clinical practice.

The CQU School of Nursing and Health Studies is committed to producing competent, effective nurses. We have taken our in depth experience of distance education and applied it to a flexible learning environment for students both external and on-campus. We provide more clinical experience than you can expect elsewhere, to bridge the gap from theory to practice. More clinical experience means more competent graduates and this brings faster promotion in the workplace, and supports the image of the professional nurse.
