Program Overview

This program has been established to produce a graduate capable of design and drafting of residential buildings. The program has been produced in close consultation with the Building Designers’ Association of Queensland. Prospective students are encouraged to talk to the Program Coordinator about exemptions from the program based on previous study or professional experience. The Faculty has established sets of exemptions for holders of TAFE qualifications.

A normal part-time load is 12 units of credit per term. You should note prerequisite requirements and term availability (in this handbook) when constructing your program in liaison with program advisors. It is suggested that you study the courses in order of level. However, you may choose to bring courses forward provided you have studied the necessary prerequisites and the courses are available.
